Ikkitousen Great Guardians OAV 2 is five minutes of absolutely nothing. But in those five minutes, thousands of LFs of every gender get to watch Ryoufu Housen play doctor with Ryomou Shimei.
So, really, what do I have to complain about?
Nothing, except “doctor” doesn’t do it for me and I really, really want to see them beat the crap out of each other. Sadly, thousands of otaku prefer dress up to beat down. Oh well. ^_^

It’s probably going to take you longer to read this review than to watch the whole OAV. It might make more sense, too. ^_^
So…they’re playing doctor? What?
Oh well…I guess that sounds KINDA cute. Not necessarily my cut of cake, but if it’s humorous, maybe it doesn’t need to be.
That’s just so wrong. Ryoufu Housen and Ryomou Shimei should be beating the stuffing out of each other, and then Kanu Unchou come in at the last minute to take out Ryoufu and doctor up Ryomou’s wounds (and get revenge for the loss at the start of Ikki GG, when she was rescued by the lightning bolt) …
… now that would be a lovely five minute OAV.
But, alas (and alac), Kanu is lost in unrequited love for Ryuubi {sigh} so it was not to be.
I personally think the Ikki Tousen OVAs are totally bland. It’s amazing how they manage to make a Yuri special with killer-bodied women and make it lack any form of titillation.
GG is very unpopular compared to DD, producers need to go back to basics for the next series… the lack of decent “Kan’u” moments makes baby Jesus cry.
