Crunchyroll Adds Morita-san wa Mukuchi Anime

July 20th, 2011

According to Crunchyroll News’ feed on Twitter, the free, legal streaming site Crunchyroll has added Morita-san ha Mukuchi to its summer line-up to worldwide audiences with the exception of Japan.

This anime is based on the 4-koma manga of the same name, which has been reviewed here. (Volume 1, Volume 2) Light on the Yuri, but cute anyway. ^_^

Yay! I really like how Crunchyroll does try to license a very wide variety of series.

  2. @Felix- I totally agree. They really do try to get a wide variety.

Hm, yet another reason to be happy for my subscription. ^_^

Hopefully if Crunchyroll’s attempt to become an online manga reader too works out they will try to have as wide a variety for manga as they have been doing with anime.

It’s an interesting concept, micro-episodes (I can’t think off hand of another series that aired on Japanese TV with such a short run time per episode). This show might not be as good if was the full typical length, but in short bursts is really entertaining. I just kind of wish it aired more then once a week.

Maybe this is a way for other series that might not otherwise get a TV anime adaption to get one? It could work.

  5. @Felix – Sweet Valerian by CLAMP and KogePan both ran in micro episodes. I’m sure there’s been others, those are the only two I can think of off the top of my head. ^_^

Amazing! Even the Italian viewers (me, for instance) can access this!
Since the range of stuff available for non US public is getting constantly wider, I’m seriously thinking to subscribe in order, also, to give more support to Crunchyroll.
Moreover, so I could watch YuruYuri, too. :)

I wish this manga had been given the Seitokai Yakuindomo treatment. It would have been nice to see longer episodes.
