Online Live Yuri Panel – Question Solicit and Introduction

April 11th, 2012

There are a lot of folks who would like to attend my Yuri Panels and Lectures, but for one reason or another, don’t have the chance to. Therefore, as a new feature for Yuricon, we’re starting a series of online panels. Watch the video below to get the basic idea:

So, get those questions in and as soon as we can, I’ll announce the first time and place for a live online Yuri panel. (I’m very much hoping it will be this month, and I’ll do my very best to pick a time where the most times zone can tune in!)

I’m looking forward to your questions!

Update: Before you send in any questions for the Online Yuri Panel, stop by Yuricon and read our answer to “What is Yuri?”

Awesome! Good luck with it ^^

  2. Mara says:

Yay. Thank you so much. Please be sure to put up the live stream times in advance so those of us in odd timezones can make preparations.

  3. @Mara – Yes, of course, I will. ^_^

I may end up doing the first few at different times of day or night, to accommodate different time zones. It’s very hard to pick a time when people nearly everywhere are awake. ^_^

Where do we send our questions? I’m thinking of asking, “Do Yuri manga/anime talk enough about political rights? Is it good enough just to keep familiarizing people with love between women as a real and legitimate kind of love, or is more explicit activism called for?”

  5. @Catherine – Just like it says in the video, please send questions to Yuricon at gmail dot com with the subject, “Online Yuri Panel”

i for one am so appreciative of the fact you work so hard to make Yuri discourse accessible to as many people as possible from around the world.. am sure others are as well. will definitely be tuning in (and try to think up questions too :))

Thanks, @Erica – sorry I didn’t get that from the video announcement, I rarely have time and network bandwidth to absorb non-text info sources…
