Yuri Manga

Volume 3 of Golondrina (ゴロンドリーナ), Est Em’s story of a young lesbian training to become a matador hit the streets last month in Japan.

Coming up from Yuri Hime Comics are Suzuran Techou (スズラン手帖) by Takahashi Mako and the November issue of Comic Yuri Hime.

Yen Press has licensed more of the Magica Madoka manga – this time, Puella Magi Madoka Magica:  The Different Story.

LGBTQ Comics

Remember back when Kate Kane, as Batwoman, asked Maggie to marry her? Well, she never got a response then…and stuff happened. I honestly thought DC forgot about it. Apparently not, because Kate, out of costume, has asked again – and this time she gets an answer. Bleeding Cool has the scoop.

I can’t remember if I shared this with you or not – Leia Weathington has a whole Tumblr post of teasers for the second volume of  her adventure comic starring a pleasantly lesbian princess, The Legend of Bold Riley.

Via YNN Correspondent Erin S., Midwestern, Genderqueer, and Proud: Exploring Gender in a Middle-America Comics Project looks to create tools to discuss gender through comics.

Rica Takashima has moved her blog to new digs – Et Cetetera. She just celebrated 19 years of her atelier, Aozora Art!  Drop by and wish her a happy anniversary!

Here’s something totally trippy – in 1946 Walt Disney and Salvador Dali collaborated on an animation Watch Destino and enjoy the mind-bending concept of Gala as a Disney Princess. ^_^

Comic Natalie is tracking the seemingly never-ending list of cool new Sailor Moon goods in honor of the upcoming anime. Up this time are pendants based on wands, T-shirts,and eyeliners.

Japanese toy company Banpresto is holding a lottery-style contest in Japanese convenience stores for Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha As The Second movie figurines. I always seem to miss the really good wastes of money…. ^_^

That’s a wrap for this week! Become a Yuri Network Correspondent by sending me any Yuri-related news you find. Emails go to anilesbocon01 at hotmail dot com. Not to the comments here, please, or they might be forgotten or missed. There’s a reason for this madness. This way I know you are a real human, not Anonymous (which I do not encourage – stand by your words with your name!) and I can send you a YNN correspondent’s badge. Thanks to all of you – you make this a great Yuri Network!

!!! I’m in Japan now, and I think I saw posters with those Nanoha figurines at Animate and was thinking, “Where can I get those???” My Japanese reading skills are only so-so, so I thought it was for an upcoming gacha machine or something. Guess I will have to go visit my neighborhood Circle K and investigate further. :D
