LGBTQ Manga

Seven Seas posted a lovely tweet this week, marking the initial pre-orders for the 2019 release of Our Dreams at Dusk: Shimanami Tasogare, Volume 1 and Volume 2. Tune in tomorrow for the YNN podcast for discussion about why this is so important.

Seven Seas also sent out a press release that I want to mention, because it does something too few manga companies think to do – it ties their releases of Bloom Into You, Volume 1-5 into the currently running anime. There’s a reason why companies fail to do this so often – licensing of anime and manga are handled by different companies who often pay no attention to one another. It’s good to see the Seven Seas folks not making that mistake.

Many thanks for the links to DaVinci’s interview. I am glad to see not only such interest in good yuri anime, but also the fact that Japanese women’s magazines aren’t going to ignore qeer women.
