Yuri Events
Flamecon is this weekend in New York City, NY, and I will be there today! I’m not doing any panels or selling anything, just taking a nice relaxing stroll through the event. Hit me up if you’re there and say hello. ^_^
AnimeNYC is at Javits Center on August 21-24, 2025. Once again I’ll be there, covering the American Manga Awards (The Guy She Liked Wasn’t A Guy At All is nominated for an award this year!) on Thursday night, hanging out with manga industry folks on Friday – hitting up the Yen Press Love Bullet pop-up store and trawling Kinokuniya for The Guy She Liked Wasn’t A Guy At All merch. I’ll be back on Sunday for the Geeks Out x ANYC panel: Finding Your Story: Manga Recommendations for Queer Readers at the ridiculous time of 3:30 PM on Sunday, August 24. We would love to have you join us!
Comiket 106 is happening this weekend as well. Check out their Facebook and Twitter feeds for pictures.
I am a guest at Y/Con this November in Paris. My panel schedule is not set yet, but I will have copies of By Your Side: The First 100 Years of Yuri Anime and Manga to sign and I am very much looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones, so do drop by!

Galette English Issue No.3 is complete and on the way to backers, according to Galette WORKS’ most recent update on Kickstarter. Based on previous campaigns, we should expect Issue No. 4 campaign to begin shortly. I’ve been seeing folks asking about getting back issues. At this point, the new Kickstarters do have add-ons for previous issues, but there is no standalone way to purchase the EN editions.
