This month marks 25 years since the first site I built to create a community around celebration of lesbian-themed Japanese anime and manga. This quarter of a century has seen some wonderful changes – Yuri/GL/Baihe are globally known genre terms for animation, comics, novels, live-action, and visual novel series. There is so much great media out there it’s hard to keep up, which is the best problem to have. ^_^

In 2018, I posted a visual history of the Yuricon site, when we did our last refresh. And today, to celebrate this 25 anniversary milestone, I would like to introduce you to the new Yuricon website! 

Designed and built by Katy and Chris at Hand Design Co., who have also done many of the sites we visit regularly, Anime Herald, Anime Feminist, Yatta-tachi, Crunchyroll…, Yuricon.com is moving into a mature new look that should last us for another decade. ^_^ Here is the advertisement: Chris and Katy were amazing. They listened to what I wanted and absolutely *nailed* it. They got the colors, the look, the feel, in one swing. If you need a site redesign, go with them. You won’t regret it.
