Yuri Manga
Via Sr. YNN Correspondent Sean Gaffney, Kodansha has licensed Muryoku Seijo to Munou Oujo ~ Maryoku Zero de Shoukansareta Seijo no Isekai Kyuukokuki by Tamasaki Tama as Powerless Without You. I enjoy this manga in Comic Yuri Hime and think you might too.
New license Kodansha, as well. We’re getting Belladonna’s Lover, a collection with by Ruu1mm, that includes some lovely moody Yuri stories, says Sr. YNN Correspondent Matt Marcus. I reviewed this collection last year here on Okazu.
Yuri Visual Novels
Yuri Eureka want you to know that their Yuri VN Exhibition of the Heart has an official release date of October 27. They describe this as a “cute and lewd” Yuri visual novel.
Christine Love has announced a console release for her hit lesbian VN Get In The Car, Loser!, which she notes is available on Steam, Itch.io and on the Nintendo Switch.
Studio Élan’s Highway Blossoms: Gold Rush release is also on Switch and Playstation.
I’m not a game industry analyst, but IMHO, VNs are very much both the cause and effect in Sony’s choice to end physical media: People are more used to DLing games, so why have disks? DLed content is easier to control (i.e, change/remove). No disk drive means devices are smaller and cheaper, etc, etc… And VNs are why Sony is eating XBox for lunch.
Yuri Light Novels
inori.’s new LN, Poison for the Moon, Medicine for the Night – Volume 1: An Assassin Who Longs for Death and a Vampire Marked for Death will be hitting shelves in December. Pre-order it now!
inori’s Homunculus Tears: Alchemy For The Broken-Hearted is getting a manga adaptation, drawn by Ayster. Rafael Antonio Pineda has the details over at ANN. I review the light novel here on Okazu last year.
