Really? I thought Facebook rules was so strong that users were banned for the slightest hint of racist or homophobic trash.
No, it’s almost always the opposite.
I hate Facebook with a fiery passion, and only use it for two small private groups that I unfortunately don’t have control of to push for a platform migration.
This looks like a promising alternative. I’m not sure how much weight I’m willing to give a statement like “at MeWe we have absolutely no political agenda,” from their FAQ. These days, simply keeping lies and fascists off your platform counts as a political stand to an alarming number of people. Plus I always hate seeing the squishy prohibition against “porn,” which reeks of arbitrary puritanical censorship. Still, just about ANYTHING is better than FB at this point, right?
I’ll sign up and push for my wife to break her FB addiction as well.
Yeah, I don’t believe that either, but it doesn’t hurt to have options.
