Yuri Festival on Global Bookwalker!

June 24th, 2020

Global Bookwalker is running a Yuri Festival until midnight June 25th, with up to 50% coin back on eligible titles in English and Japanese!

I just picked up a few things I had sitting in my cart, and with coins I had already earned, it was 20% off for me. A good deal all the way around. ^_^

It’s strange. Some manga are marked as yuri in the English section and participate in the event, while in Japanese they don’t even have a tag. However, in Kobayashi’s case this is more a formality than a serious matter.

Are licensors so free to position work in the western market?

    • You’ll have to ask Bookwalker.

Well, for two of the three cases I found, the yuri tag is really purely a formality, while the third has a noticeable yuri subplot around one of main girls, so this is not a big problem. In any case, thanks for the link, I have long wanted to try to buy “Goodbye, My Rose Garden”

        • Tags and categories are forms of indexing. Tags are meant to help people find things. They are not a formality, they are a tool. If you wish to understand how Global Bookwalker applies them, you should ask them. Conjecture is meaningless and strongly discouraged by this librarian. You do not know and have no good information upon which to speculate.
