Comic Yuri Hime, November 2026 (コミック百合姫2026年11月号) offers a tantalizing cover. Instead of a colorful room with props and costumes, the shadows of two women stand backlit in a door, looking in to or leaving a darkened room behind them. The moment I saw Chiiriko’s cover, I had a good idea what the story had been all along. I’ve cheated because I have the next issue here, and yes, I guessed the ribbon story. ^_^
This volumes starts with “Datte Koi wa Tsukiyo ni Tomoru kara” by meiji, a new series that begins as a young woman wanders a private school dorm at night, only to be discovered by an older student who seems interested in her curious nature.
In Watashi no Oshi ha Akuyau Reijou.” by inori. and Aonoshimo, an old friend arrives in time to cast doubt on Salas’ accusations, while Rae faces off against Lily, whose two personalities both resent her.
If you have ever been in or read about the largest train stations in Japan, you know that thinking of them as a labyrinth isn’t far off. In Yajima Kozumi’s “Yuri no Ma ni Hasamaru Umeda Dungeon” two women can’t seem to find each other in the Umeda train station (largely because one has no sense of direction, but won’t stop moving.) I found this story to be quite cute, if a little stress-inducing.
“Kimi ga Hoeru Tame no Uta o” brings Yuu and Haru to the moment where they must bring all their energy to the contest. Haru learns a terrifying truth about one of the judges.
Two important conversations happen in “Chou Shin Uchuu Yori Ai wo Komete” by Ashidaka Wo. Ten learns why she was hurt by someone she trusted and runs to talk to Lulu about their relationship.
Ikuta Hana’s “Hone ni negai o,Hoshi ni noroi o” takes a darker turn, as Aoi learns about the “star” mark on her chest and what it might mean.
Shibori Kasuko’s “Genjitsu sekai demo shiawase ni shite kudasai ne?” comes to an end, as the love interests are all sent back to their game world….
And there are, as always many other stories I read, and stories I don’t. ^_^ We have a passel of horror, and toxic Yuri, some science fiction and fantasy and school-life drama. Still no sports. I won’t shut up about that until I get some. ^_^
One more volume left in the year. The December issue is hitting shelves in Japan this month and is awaiting me at the bookstore. I can’t wait.
