Since I’m reviewing the current airing anime, I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day, which is currently over halfway through it’s season (EP 8) as of writing this, I thought it would be fitting to also check out the Tokyo Popup event.

The anime social media also recently reached it’s milestone of 100,000 followers!

I attended the last day of the Kimishinu 8th Anniversary Celebration Party in atre AKIBAHARA, which lasted from 8/7 to 8/20.

If you missed out, the online store is selling goods starting from 8/25-9/8!

It was nice to finally see the girls in a happier non-war torn environment complete with classy anniversary attire. Like most atre events, there was art on the sliding doors and glass panel entrance to the mall.

One of my favorite features of the art for the popup was the fact that Mimi was actually to scale, even in the cardboard cut outs next to Sheena. It was a nice touch that I often see as a missed opportunity at a lot of these events.

The pop up took up a small corner of the upstairs floor. The paper standees of the characters being spread at various areas surrounding the booth. I was greeted by the sound of Sheena and Mimi’s VA’s advertising the event, Mimi shouting her introduction was very in character and adorable.

I thought the displays of the items were also on brand with the series, nice wooden corkboards with pinned character cards and manga panels. The bigger tapestries surrounded the booth for pre-order also had beautiful floral patterns.

If you ordered enough goods you even got a limited edition Mimi/Sheena anniversary bag, with a full group shot on the reverse side. I don’t know if that’s included with the online purchase, but spending 2,000 yen will nab a limited edition anniversary bookmark of a random character.

The acrylic stands and key-holders were also lined up with their respected pairings.

The VA’s of the series signed the art boards as well!

I was grateful that there were still some items left for me to buy at the event, despite it being it’s last day. Me being the big spender that I am bought a gatcha checki and lucked out pulling Ali.

Thank you atre, it was nice to see Seiran and Ali unbothered and enjoying the event as much as I was.
